Homeopathy Professional Regulation: Homeopathy has been a complementary and alternative health care profession in Canada, since 20th century. Homeopaths, designated as ‘Hom.’, are professionals specializing in homeopathy. Notably, Ontario is the sole province where homeopaths are regulated, specifically by the College of Homeopaths of Ontario (CHO), a statutory body established under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, and the Homeopathy Act, 2007.

Homeopathy Products: Ranging from pellets and oral droplets to syrups, creams, and ointments, homeopathic products are available in diverse forms. Their composition includes substances sourced from plants, minerals, or animals. In Canada, Health Canada oversees the regulation of these products under the natural health product (NHP). Health Canada oversees the homeopathic products to make sure that they are safe and that the health claims are supported by textbooks and other references used in the practice of homeopathy (e.g., Pharmacopoeia, Homeopathic Materia medica).
